About Me

Hi, my name is Zachary Yuan. I first picked up photography in 2021 when my grandpa handed me his old Sony a6300 and told me to capture the world’s special moments with it, and to carry them with me always. To this day, I still use the same camera to root myself in the present, and I am more than content with it. For me, a good photo isn’t about the gear, it’s about the intention, and the story it tells.

My Style/Goals

My photography style is all about observation. I’m drawn to street scenes, nature, and wildlife because they show overlooked moments of behavior, light, and emotion. I hope my work invites open-ended reflection, allowing viewers to connect their own interpretations and experiences.

Photography is my way of studying everyday moments of life.  Whether I’m in a crowded street or a quiet field, I look for underappreciated details that tell us about who we are. My goal is to help people uncover the underlying mechanisms that shape human nature. Let’s see the world in a different light.
