Hi, my name is Zachary Yuan. I first picked up photography in 2021 when my grandpa handed me his old Sony a6300 and told me to capture the world’s special moments with it, and to carry them with me always as his parting gift. To this day, I still use the same camera to root myself in the present, and I am more than content with it. For me, a good photo isn’t about the gear—it’s about the story it tells.
My photography style is grounded in observation. I’m drawn to street scenes, nature, and wildlife because they reveal overlooked facets of behavior, light, and emotion. I hope my work invites reflection, and reveals the quiet connections that bind us all.

Photography is my way of studying life’s unspoken cues. Whether I’m in a crowded street or a quiet field, I look for underappreciated details of our mundane lives. My goal is to help people uncover the underlying mechanisms that shapes how we see, feel, and interpret the world. Let’s see the world in a different light.
